THE STRANGEST CHRISTMAS OF MY LIFE I
Piicture book’s for preschoolers
By Evangelia Kakourou
Illustrated by Vassilis Selimas
Published by Self-publishing
A chapter book for ages 4+
Little Zoe with her drawings wonders “Where did Christmas go with the decorated tree, the sweet smells of gingerbread and cookies, cards and friends?”. But she doesn’t voice her complaint out loud… Due to the coronavirus and the quarantine, mom Marina seems to have forgotten about the upcoming holidays and their house doesn’t look as festive as it used to… Will Zoe manage to change her mom’s mood and bring home the sweet warmth of Christmas?
My opinion
Evangelias’ excellent writing manages to sweeten our hearts and remind us that even in difficult situations in our lives, the love generously offered by children will always win. A wonderful book that will always remind us of 2020 and the coronavirus. A sweet and tender tale that promotes the power of love and empathy.
This is a video that describes both Christmas books
